Terms of service
Terms of Service
Effective Date: June 9, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the services offered by Patriot Protect ("Patriot Protect," "we," "us," or "our") through patriot-protect.com (the "Site"). By purchasing, accessing, or using any Patriot Protect service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not purchase or use our services.
You acknowledge that you have read and understood these Terms, including the billing, automatic renewal, and no-refund provisions below, and that you affirmatively consent to them before you are charged.
1. Eligibility
To use Patriot Protect, you must be at least 18 years old and a current or recent resident of the United States. Our services are designed for United States residents and do not function for residents of other countries.
You may only submit personal information for yourself or for individuals you are legally authorized to represent. By submitting any person's information, you represent that you are that person or that you have that person's explicit permission to act on their behalf.
2. Services We Provide
Patriot Protect provides personal data protection services on a subscription basis. Depending on the plan you select, these services may include:
- Removal and suppression of your personal information from people-search sites, data brokers, and similar third-party databases.
- Family coverage extending removal services to additional authorized members of your household.
- Dark web and breach monitoring, which periodically scans available dark web sources and known breach databases for identifiers you provide and notifies you of detected exposures (offered with our Total Recon plan).
The specific features, coverage, and current pricing for each plan, including Max Coverage, Elite Coverage, and Total Recon and any family options, are presented to you at the point of purchase and in your account portal. The plan you select and the price you agree to at checkout govern your subscription.
We deliver our services directly and through third-party service providers and partners. The providers and partners we use may change at any time at our sole discretion, without notice and without affecting your subscription. We do not identify our underlying providers, and our selection of providers is part of our proprietary service.
3. Authorization to Act on Your Behalf
To perform our services, you authorize Patriot Protect and our service providers to act as your authorized agent for the limited purpose of identifying, requesting removal of, suppressing, and otherwise managing your personal information held by data brokers, people-search sites, and other third parties.
You expressly authorize us and our providers to submit opt-out, deletion, and suppression requests on your behalf and to transmit, disclose, and use the personal information you provide as reasonably necessary to perform these services. You understand that performing a removal inherently requires us and our providers to submit your information to the third parties holding it, and you consent to this.
If you purchase a family plan, you represent and warrant that each covered individual is at least 18 years old, is a current or recent United States resident, and has given you explicit permission to submit their personal information and to act on their behalf. You are responsible for obtaining and maintaining that permission.
4. Your Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information, and to keep it updated.
- Use our services only for lawful purposes and only for your own personal information or that of individuals you are authorized to represent.
- Not use our services for any commercial purpose without our prior written approval.
- Safeguard your account credentials and remain responsible for activity under your account.
You are solely responsible for any personal information you voluntarily publish or maintain yourself, including on social media, blogs, public forums, and similar platforms, and for managing your own privacy settings on those platforms. Our services do not affect information you publish yourself.
5. Subscription, Billing, and Automatic Renewal
Recurring billing. Patriot Protect subscriptions are sold on a recurring basis. When you purchase a subscription, you authorize us and our payment processor to charge your payment method the price for your selected plan and billing term (monthly or annual), plus any applicable taxes, on a recurring basis.
Automatic renewal. Your subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing term for a successive term of the same length, at the then-current price for your plan, until you cancel. You authorize us to charge your payment method automatically for each renewal term without further action by you. By enrolling, you affirmatively consent to this automatic renewal.
Immediate provisioning. Your service begins and provisioning starts immediately upon purchase. Removal requests, account setup, monitoring enrollment, and related work are initiated at the time of your purchase, before the end of any billing period.
Cancellation timing. You may cancel at any time as described in Section 6. Cancellation stops future renewal charges. It does not retroactively reverse or refund the current term.
Price changes. We may change our prices. If we increase the price applicable to your subscription, we will provide you advance notice and will either obtain your affirmative consent to the new price or give you the opportunity to cancel before the increase takes effect, consistent with applicable law. Your continued subscription after a properly noticed price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.
Payment failure. If a charge is declined or fails, we may suspend or terminate your service and may retry the charge. You are responsible for keeping a valid payment method on file.
6. Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account portal at https://patriot-protect.com/pages/portal. Because you enrolled online, you may cancel online through the same medium.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid billing term. You will retain access to your service through the end of the term you have already paid for, and your subscription will not renew thereafter. Cancellation does not entitle you to any refund or credit for the current or any prior term.
After cancellation, your information may be re-listed by data brokers and people-search sites over time, and we will no longer submit removal requests or perform monitoring on your behalf.
7. No Refunds
All sales are final. Patriot Protect does not provide refunds or credits.
Because your service is provisioned and work on your behalf begins immediately upon purchase, all subscription fees, including monthly and annual fees, are non-refundable. We do not provide refunds, prorated refunds, or credits for partial subscription periods, for unused service, for cancellation before the end of a term, or for any other reason, except where a refund is required by applicable law.
You acknowledge and agree to this no-refund policy at the time of purchase as a material term of your subscription.
8. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
If you have a question or concern about a charge, contact us first at support@patriot-protect.com so we can resolve it directly. Most billing issues can be resolved quickly.
By purchasing a subscription, you confirm that you are authorized to use the payment method provided and that you knowingly authorized each recurring charge under these Terms. Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute for a charge you authorized, rather than contacting us to resolve the matter, is a breach of these Terms.
We maintain records of your purchase, your affirmative consent to these Terms, your automatic-renewal authorization, and the services provisioned to you, and we will provide this documentation to contest disputes we believe to be improper. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate the account of any user who initiates an improper chargeback, and you remain responsible for amounts owed. Improper chargebacks do not relieve you of your obligations under these Terms, and following any reversal of service, your information may be re-listed by third parties.
9. No Guarantee of Results
We will use commercially reasonable efforts to perform our services, but we do not guarantee any specific result. The effectiveness of our services depends on the accuracy and completeness of the information you provide and on factors outside our control, including the practices, availability, and responsiveness of the third parties that hold or publish your information and of the providers through which we deliver our services.
You understand and agree that:
- We cannot guarantee removal from any specific site or from all sites, that removed information will stay removed, or that information will not be re-listed or re-published over time.
- Data brokers and people-search sites frequently re-acquire and re-publish information, which may require repeated removal efforts.
- We do not control, and are not responsible for, information you publish yourself or that is published by third parties you do not control.
10. Dark Web and Breach Monitoring
If your plan includes dark web or breach monitoring, you understand that monitoring is a detection and notification service, not a prevention service. It scans only sources and breach data that are available and discoverable to us and our providers, and it cannot detect every exposure or guarantee that your information is not present somewhere we cannot reach.
Monitoring results and alerts are provided for informational purposes only and do not constitute legal, financial, or security advice. You are responsible for deciding how to respond to any alert, including changing passwords, contacting financial institutions, or taking other protective action.
11. Third-Party Services
Our services are delivered in part through third-party providers and partners, which may change at any time. We are not responsible or liable for the acts, omissions, performance, policies, or availability of any third party. Any data you provide may be transmitted to or entered with third parties as necessary to perform the service, and we are not responsible for how those third parties handle data once it leaves our control, except as required by our Privacy Policy and applicable law.
12. Intellectual Property
The Site and its content, including text, graphics, logos, and the Patriot Protect name and marks, are owned by Patriot Protect or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content or marks without our prior written permission.
13. Disclaimer of Warranties
Our services and the Site are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement, and any warranty that our services will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that they will achieve any particular result.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Patriot Protect and its owners, officers, employees, providers, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, our services, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for any and all claims arising out of or related to these Terms or our services will not exceed the total amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Patriot Protect and its owners, officers, employees, providers, and partners from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or related to your breach of these Terms, your misuse of our services, your submission of information you were not authorized to submit, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
16. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
You and Patriot Protect agree to first attempt to resolve any dispute informally by contacting support@patriot-protect.com and allowing thirty (30) days to resolve the matter. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be resolved by binding arbitration administered under the rules of a recognized arbitration provider, conducted in the State of New York, rather than in court, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court.
You and Patriot Protect agree that any dispute will be brought only in an individual capacity and not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective, or representative proceeding. You waive any right to a jury trial.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page and revise the Effective Date above. For material changes, we will provide notice as required by law. Your continued use of our services after the updated Terms take effect constitutes your acceptance of them.
18. Privacy
Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information. Please review it at https://patriot-protect.com/pages/privacy-policy.
