They pick a person, not a server
Finance, HR, IT, and anyone with a title on LinkedIn. Broker sites hand over the rest for a few dollars: where that person lives, who they live with, what their cell number is, where they worked before.

They build something that sounds like it's from the inside
A text mentioning the street they live on. A call that names their manager. An email referencing a previous employer. It is not a generic scam blast. It is specific enough that a careful person answers it, and the specificity comes from records anyone can buy.

Someone approves a wire or hands over a code
A password reset, an MFA prompt, a vendor bank change, an urgent payment. By this point the attacker is not defeating a control. They are being let through one by an employee who had no reason to doubt them.

Does it stay clean?
Not on its own, which is why this is a subscription rather than a project. Brokers re-scrape and republish constantly. We monitor and re-file continuously for as long as your team is covered.
Can you take down what's on LinkedIn or Facebook?
No, and that one has to be handled by the person who owns the account. When someone chooses to use a social platform, they are volunteering that information, and the platform collects and publishes it as part of the service they signed up for. No removal service can override that. What we would tell your employees: those platforms have privacy settings, and it is worth spending ten minutes in them. Our lane is different. We go after the brokers and people-search sites publishing your team's information without them ever signing up for anything or having any say in it.
We're a small company. Is this only for enterprises?
No. Small teams are targeted heavily, often more so, because attackers assume there is no security staff to notice. Coverage works the same at 8 people as it does at 800.
Can we cover executives only?
You can, and some companies start there because leadership carries the most exposure. Worth knowing that finance and HR staff are targeted just as often, since they are the ones who can move money or reset an account.
